The singer Tito Jackson played with his brothers in the group Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael, the most famous of whom will die in 2009 at the age of 50.
Steve Manning, a longtime friend of the Jackson family's former operations manager, told Entertainment Tonight that Tito Jackson died on Monday.
This information was also confirmed by his three sons, on Instagram Taj, Taryll and TJ Jackson, who had the music group 3T in the 1990s.
They said: “We are shocked and heartbroken. My father was a good man who cared about everyone.
His sons continue to spread the message encouraging people to follow their Father. They said: "He will miss you a lot..., keep remembering to do what my father always taught, to love each other."
The man was instrumental in founding the group Jackson 5 which was formed in 1964. The group has sold over 150 million copies of their music, and the group's hits include ABC, The Love You Save and I Want You Back.
In 1980, the brothers received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, and in 1997 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. At the end of last month, Tito performed with the Jackson 5 at the Fool in Love Festival at the Hollywood Park Grounds in California. It was a concert with Taryll, Jackie and Marlon Jackson.
Former Jackson 5 drummer Jonathan Moffett wrote on X to express his grief over the loss of his brother, saying, "I have a great sadness in my heart - After learning that my brother in heart and soul, Tito Jackson has passed away."
