In an interview with Radio B&B FM Kigali, The Ben said that the first day he went to the studio to record his first song called 'Amaso ku maso' was a battle.
He said that he sang this song because his friends including Meddy, Tom Close, Muyoboke Alex and others pressured him to do it as if he was on command.
He said, “At that time I was singing in the church choir and I was the director. I hated to sing even when my friends asked me to, because I hated to bother my mother.
The song 'Face to Face' was forced to sing like a gun. Because at that time Meddy was leaving the studio to make the song 'Ngira Buntu' and at that time we were singing together in the church, they immediately asked me."
He continued to come back to the pressure caused by Muyoboke members, saying, "When I got to the place where he had done it, Muyoboke Alex members, asked me to sing and gave me a hard time.
“I immediately went to the studio and did the song Face to Face and it wasn't mine because it was a church song. I didn't want to sing because I hated betraying my mother.”
The Ben is one of the most important artists in Rwandan music, because he has been making many songs that have been appreciated by many, due to the comfort shown to him.
