This ceremony to reward the best players on the African continent took place on Monday night, December 16, 2024, in Morocco.

The Best Player in Africa went to Ronwen Williams, Goalkeeper of the National Team of South Africa and Mamelodi Sundowns and Sanaa Mssoudy of FAR Rabat and Morocco was the best performer among women.
The best goalkeeper of the year went to Ronwen Williams of Mamelodi Sundowans and the South African National Team, who excelled in the Africa Cup of Nations, and was among the contenders for the best goalkeeper award in the Ballon d'Or 2024.
In the youth category, Senegalese Lamine Camara won the award of the year, while Moroccan Doha El Madani won in the women category.
The coach of the year was Émerse Faé of the Côte d'Ivoire national team, after winning the Africa Cup of Nations, he was awarded to the team in the middle of the tournament.
The national team of Côte d'Ivoire won this year's men's team, while Nigeria won the women's team. Among the clubs, Al Ahly SC from Egypt was the best of the year in the men's category, while TP Mazembe was the best in the women's category.
Ademola Lookman joins other winners of this award such as Yaya Touré who has been awarded four times (2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014), Samuel Eto'o (2003, 2004, 2005 and 2010) and El Hadji Diouf, Nwankwo Kanu and Didier Drogba, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané have scored twice each, as has Victor Osimhen who still has one one.
