Change on the 29th day of the champion, the three teams fighting for relegation will play on the same day.

On April 29, the Rwanda Football Association (Ferwafa) announced that there was a change in the matches of the 29th day of the first division champion, where the 3 teams fighting for relegation will play on the same day and at the same time.

In a statement issued by Ferwafa to the press  as well as to the leaders of the teams playing in the first division in Rwanda, the competition commission concluded that the teams competing not to be relegated to the 2nd division, must play for one day and one hour. The matches of these teams will be held on May 4, 2024.

Among the reasons they announced in this letter, they said that there is a final match of the Peace Cup scheduled for May 1, where Police FC will meet Bugesera. Even that there are Kagame Cup sector games scheduled to end on May 4 and 5, 2024 in Rubavu District. All this is what caused the change on the 29th day of the season.

These three teams are at risk of relegation, including sunrise fc in 14th place with 29 points, Bugesera fc in 15th place with 28 points and Etoile De l'est fc in last place with 28 points.
