Rashford has said he has no ill will towards Manchester United but wants to continue playing at a high level in order to return to the England national team.
Although his contract expires in 2028, several clubs, including Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad, have shown interest in him.
Although Rashford was not included in the 18-man squad that played against Manchester City, he expressed his joy at his team's victory via Instagram.
Rashford made his Manchester United debut on 25 February 2016, in a 5–1 UEFA Europa League win over FC Midtjylland, with Rashford scoring twice in the match.
Since then, Rashford has made over 380 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions, scoring over 120 goals. He has shown his talent, especially in big games, including scoring in derbies and in the UEFA Champions League. Manchester United are currently 13th in the Premier League table with 22 points.
