This journalist says that it is in order to give him the respect he deserves due to what he has done in Ugandan music in the 25 years he has been in it.
This journalist in a message through the former X wall (Twitter) asked the leaders of Kampala to give one of the streets the name of Jose chameleon. He said: "History will say that Uganda has Joseph the chameleon. Kampala leaders are asking that one of the streets of the city be named after Joseph Mayanja."
In response, Francis Isano, one of Kampala's leaders, said: "This message is for one million people who like it, we will discuss it without delay."
Journalist Isano Francis then gathered supporters to implement the proposal. Despite the desire of the Kampala city administration that the message fills Millions, it seems difficult because in 24 hours the message was received by only about 4 000 people.
Musician Jose Chameleone has long been appearing in various interviews asking that people should value the works of a person who is still alive, instead of valuing them when they are born.
This is reflected in his song that was very popular with many in 2010 called (Basima Ogenze) which has a message to encourage people to appreciate those who have done good to them who are still alive.
In March 2024, Jose Chameloene asked his fans to respect him while he was still alive, saying, "There is a big brick I laid on Ugandan music, so you have to respect it while I'm still alive."
Not only because Jose Chameleone recently held a concert called (Legend in Gold concert) to celebrate 25 years of making music which took place on August 31, 2024 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
