The confederation announced that the qualifying matches for the CHAN finals will start between October 25-27 and end in December 2024.
The 4th Vice President of CAF, Seidou Mbombo Njoya, representative of the organizing committee for the African Nations Championship (CHAN), announced this on Monday afternoon in a press conference after The CAF Executive Committee meeting was held at the Kempinski Hotel in Nairobi.
Yesterday, Sunday, Dr. Patrice Motsepe visited the Nyayo and Kasarani stadiums in Kenya, where the 2027 and CHAN2025 African Cup of Nations matches will be played, to see where the renovation work has come.
This Monday he had an interview with the media, he announced many different things including the return of the CHAN tournament.
Dr. Patrice Motsepe, CAF President said that the CHAN that will be held in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania will go well. The president added that CHAN for Africans is a special foundation for the African Cup.
He went on to say that this competition attracts different media, he said that this year he hopes it will be very good and he said that he will come back to see where the preparations have reached.
The last CHAN games were held in Algeria, where Senegal defeated the Algerian national team on penalties 5-4.
