The artist Davis D, who has been in Rwandan music for ten years, returned to it in an interview with InyaRwanda where he confirmed that even though there was a time when he thought he was going to stop music because what he expected was not what he got, but when he performed his song 'Dede' he once again threw a shield in his shoulders he continued.
“I've never felt so depressed. When I felt discouraged and when I said that maybe I don't listen to the song called 'Dede' and look at other things, maybe I should go with what I learned."
He went on to say that he was scared when he thought about leaving music because he had been putting out many songs for a while but they did not reach the level he wanted.
He said, "There are many songs that I had already given that will not be popular, I think it's nothing, because when you go to see 'Dede', it is a very popular song in the East African region, not only a popular song in Kigali or Rwanda, but others were They are popular but not quite where I want them to be in a nutshell.”
Davis D is preparing to perform in Rwanda on November 30, 2024, in a concert he organized to celebrate his ten years in Rwandan music. It was while the song that reinvigorated him 'Dede' came out in 2019, capturing the hearts of many.
