In a message posted on his Instagram wall on September 28, 2024, the artist apologized to his fans and explained that the reason he did not sing was because of the heavy rain and storm that could have caused an accident.
In this message, Bruce Melodie said: "We apologized to our fans in Bugesera without performing as planned. On this Saturday, I had to perform for many fans in Bugesera as we had planned. Only because of the heavy rain mixed with the wind, it was necessary that I don't sing in order to avoid accidents that may be caused by it (prevention is better than cure)."
Bruce Melodie concluded by saying that this happened after the agreement he made with the organizers of this show, he concluded by assuring his fans in Bugesera that he will go to see them soon.
He said: "This was done after discussions with the organizers of the MTN Iwacu Music Festival 2024. In this context, you did not get what you were prepared for.
Although Bruce Melodie did not step on the dance floor, it did not stop other artistes including Bushali, Bwiza, Kenny sol, Danny Nanone and Chris Easy, from bringing joy despite the heavy rain in Bugesera region.
