33-year-old David de Gea has been out of the game for a whole year, after his contract with Manchester United expired in 2023, and the club did not immediately sign him.
The player has moved to Fiolentina where he has signed a one-year contract, which could be extended depending on his performance. Fiolentina announced that De Gea will speak to the media on August 12.
In the 2023-2024 Serie A season, Fiorentina finished eighth, the last time the team won a major trophy in 2001, when they won the Coppa Italia.
De Gea played 545 games for Manchester United during his 13-year tenure and won 5 trophies, including the 2012-2013 Premier League, 1 FA Cup, 1 Europa League and 2 League Cups.
