This is the first time that Rayon Sports team did not practice, after its usual place of work at the Nzove stadium was closed by SKOL Factory, which is its usual partner, due to the fact that it was not happy with the cooperation that has been between it and the management of the team for days.
The agreement that SKOL Factory had with Rayon Sports includes that if the team wants to have another partner to work with, it must first inform them. However, this team wearing Rayon Sports's jersey went beyond this for the match against Rutsiro FC, advertising specifically to the partner and allocating 5 million Frw for each match it won, which this factory could not tolerate.
President of Rayon SportsTwagirayezu Thadee told Radio 10 that a major sponsor does not prevent them from having another sponsor, saying, “Skol is our main sponsor, but it does not prevent us from having another sponsor, but in the contract there are things that we need to discuss before signing the contract.”
He continued by saying that the problems that had occurred were discussed and the teams must practice, saying, “There was a problem that caused it to be closed, but it has been resolved, and I assure the fans that there is no problem.”
Following this, on Thursday afternoon, the Rayon Sports Executive Committee met with the SKOL management to discuss strengthening the collaboration between them and to agree on how the team can perform well while fulfilling the responsibilities of each party.
In addition to the discussions, Rayon Sports was also allowed to train again, with the women's team training in the morning and the men's team training in the evening, preparing to play against Amagaju FC this Saturday at 5:00 PM at the Huye International Stadium.
