After Bad Rama posted a video on the morning of February 12, 2025, explaining that he was being dragged through court by Basile—who has various business ventures in Rwanda and abroad Semuhungu was quick to respond. He criticized Bad Rama, stating that he should work with people of his own level instead of collaborating with wealthy individuals who are out of his league.
He said “Not long ago, you were criticizing others and giving them a platform to defame someone. Why are you doing business with someone who isn’t on your level? Maybe you’re just trying to tarnish his name.”
Bad Rama did not stay silent. He immediately hit back at Semuhungu, reminding him that there was no room for defeat and that he was ready to confront those who attacked him.
He said “When men are talking, stay silent because you don’t know your place here. There’s no defeatist mentality in our projects, and you have no useful opinions to offer. Be careful before speaking out, especially when you work with others who have a reputation.”
Throughout their exchange, it became clear that both men had worked on projects with the wealthy man, with Semuhungu reportedly still working with him. Semuhungu urged Bad Rama to stop tarnishing the man’s reputation, warning that it could be considered a crime. He even reminded Bad Rama that he had recently used social media and an interview to defame the man, implying that Bad Rama should reflect on his actions. Semuhungu concluded with a proverb *“Sit down and learn.”*
