In her brief post, she revealed that she and her fiancé have agreed to get married on August 6, 2025, with the wedding set to take place in Kigali.
Uwase Vanessa’s announcement follows her surprise proposal on September 27, 2024, when her fiancé Dylan proposed by presenting her with an engagement ring.
This engagement came after Vanessa had previously been in a long-term relationship with a man from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), named Putin, but the relationship ended without leading to marriage. Additionally, on June 24, 2024, both Vanessa and her new fiancé Dylan were baptized by immersion in the Zion Temple church, where they publicly accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The baptism ceremony took place in Gahanga, at a sanitari. Miss Uwase Vanessa became well-known after participating in the Miss Rwanda 2015 competition, where she won the title of first runner-up to Miss Kundwa Doriane, who won the crown that year.
