Minister Munyangaju Aurore Mimosa thanked the Giants of Africa for their role in promoting the game of Basketball at a high level. He asks the children to make use of it, and become giants in basketball.
He said, “This institution has played a role in developing the game of basketball at a high level. This is not only an investment in infrastructure, but also an investment in the development of the youth."
Masai Ujiri, the CEO of Giants of Africa, asked the children to come to the opportunity they have to be in a well-run country.
He said, “Rwanda is lucky to have President Kagame who not only leads Rwanda but the world as a whole. I think all of you are watching what is happening in BAL Rwanda, it is ours and that is what we want.“We have heard that there are still challenges but this is like a child. He is born, he grows up, he takes one step at a time and then we get to where we want to be."
Philomène Nyirahuku, Principal of Ecole Notre Dame de la Providence de Karubanda, thanked the Government of Rwanda for its continuous support for girls and requested that the playground that was built would be used for playing day and night.

Through his Giants of Africa (GOA) project, the Raptors help young African children grow to love the game of basketball.
This GOA project started in 2003 and worked only in Nigeria until 2014 when Masai opened its borders and started doing it in other African countries including Rwanda.
