Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new record for scoring the most goals in one year in the Saudi Arabian League.

Cristiano Ronaldo, 39, did this when he scored two goals in the 4-2 victory of his Al-Nassr team against Al-Ittihad. 

This allowed him to break the record set by Abderrazak Hamdallah who scored 34 goals in the 2018/19 season. Only Abderrazak Hamdallah, who was playing for Al-Nassr, won four games against Ronaldo.

The Portuguese striker has scored 64 goals in 69 games for Al-Nassr in all competitions since his arrival in 2023.

Al-Nassr finished second in the league for the second time in a row, 14 points behind champions Al-Hilal, but also 17 points ahead of third-placed Al-Ahli.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 765 goals in 22 years as a professional. Ronaldo played for clubs like Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Al Nassr until now.
