Andy Bumuntu has retired from Kiss FM after 2 years of being active

Kayigi Andy Fred journalist and artist, popularly known as Andy Bumuntu, retired from Kiss FM Radio after 2 years of working on the show called Breakfast.

Through a statement he released on September 8, 2024, he informed his fans that he has already retired from Kiss FM during his morning talk from 6:00 - 10:00. In this show Andy Bumuntu met with RUSINE Patrick who is already a comedian and Sandrine ISHEJA Butera who has moved to the National Media Agency (RBA) as the Deputy Director General (DDG).

Andy Bumuntu, is the brother of singer UMUTARE Gaby, joined Kiss FM, in the 'Kiss Breakfast' program in 2022, replacing Gentil Gideon who had been there for a while.

Andy Bumuntu studied electrical engineering, found himself in the media but is very familiar with music. He started music in 2009 but became famous in 2017 when he made popular songs including: Mukadata and Ndashaje. Andy Bumuntu is also known as a traditional dancer in Mashirika church.

He was also popular in various songs including Valentine, KK 509 st, Appreciate, Igitego, On Fire and many others that made him popular here in Rwanda and abroad. Andy Bumuntu resigned from Kiss FM after a short time with Sandrine ISHEJA Butera and moved to the National Broadcasting Agency (RBA) as the Deputy Director General (DDG).
