The national team of Rwanda, the Amavubi under 20 years of age, took off from the airport in Kanombe, at midnight on Thursday, October 4, 2024, heading to this country where these games will be played.
The games will start from the 6th to the 20th of October in the city of Dar es Salaam in the country of Tanzania, where the CECAFA U 20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will take place.
The Rwandan national team, Amavubi coached by Eric Nshimiyimana, spent 11 days in isolation preparing for these games. They are in Group A with Tanzania at home, Kenya, Djibouti and Sudan.
In these CECAFA U 20 games, the 2 teams that will meet in the final match will automatically get the ticket to play in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Rwanda's national team, the U20 Amavubi are going to play in the CECAFA games after not participating in the last time. The last CECAFA Cup was won by Uganda's national team where they beat South Sudan.
