On the evening of January 19, 2025, the movie 'The Waiter' was shown in Kigali in an event held at Canal Olympia.
It is a movie based on the story of a desperate hotel hijacker, which includes a meeting that was attended by the Minister of Development in Nigeria.
Alliah Cool, who is the bodyguard of this leader, is also in this hotel where he is holding a meeting and is kidnapped by other leaders.
After showing this movie, Alliah Cool said that he thanks God because he is starting to appear in international cinema, showing that even though he did not have the opportunity to study hard, he hopes that cinema will make him go far.
He said “I didn't have the opportunity to study much, but the thing I did that I liked and thought could help me further was cinema […]. I was born in Congo, where I was born until today there is no road, how did I get to Kigali? But I am confident that if I can get here, I will get there as well.”
He continued, "These are not easy things, it's not easy to approach people who prevent you from giving you time. If I started acting in 2011, I didn't study anywhere, I think it's games, now that I'm acting in an international film like this, it's a sign that tomorrow it's good.”
The movie was officially released on December 20, 2024, and is showing in various Nigerian states from December 18, 2024.
