APR FC was reprimanded for fielding seven foreign players instead of six as required by the rules of the First Division Championship in Rwanda and was fined Rwf 100 thousand.

This happened in the match of the Eighth Day of the Championship that took place on Sunday, November 3, 2024, where the Gorilla FC team hosted Apr Fc at the Kigali Pelé Stadium.

This happened after the 54th minute substitution, Richmond Lamptey from Ghana and Tuyisenge Arsène left the field and were replaced by Nwobodo Chidiebere from Nigeria and Mamadou Sy from Mauritania. After Alain 'Bacca' replaced Lamine Bah, Gorilla FC filed a complaint with FERWAFA.

The Ferwafa Competition Commission made a decision on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, but the 48-hour deadline stipulated in Article 38.1 of the FERWAFA Competition Rules is ignored, stating that the decision must be published within 48 hours of the error.

This Commission concluded that APR FC was defeated by 3-0 goals, and should also reject the side of 100 Rwandan francs.

APR FC is four points behind in 15th place, one point ahead of the last Kiyovu Sports. While Gorilla FC got 17 points and went to the first place.

APR FC will return to action on Thursday when they will host Vision FC in Match Day Nine of the Championship while on Sunday, they will host Rutsiro FC in Match Day One of the Championship.

This also made some of the leaders of the APR FC staff to be fired including Rtd Capt Eric Ntazinda who was already the Team Manager of this team.
